Christopher Lee, the world’s most famous Dracula, is awarded a knighthood for his 60-year career in acting.
The 87-year-old Hammer Horror star has made more films than any other actor alive.
He made his name in blood-curdling roles such as Dracula, The Mummy and The Hound Of The Baskervilles, all co- starring Peter Cushing, and went on to play Scaramanga in the James Bond film The Man With The Golden Gun.
Often described as ‘legendary’, he once joked: ‘To be a legend, you’ve either got to be dead or excessively old.’
