Carey Mulligan to join Michael Fassbender in Steve McQueen’s Shame

British actress Carey Mulligan is set to star in British filmmaker Steve McQueen’s new movie ‘Shame’.

The actress has reportedly signed up to appear in the Steve McQueen-directed project, which will see Michael Fassbender in the lead role.

The movie tells the story of Brandon (Fassbender), a 30-somehting New Yorker, who is struggling with sex addiction so reaches out to his family and co-workers for help.

Mulligan is being lined up to play Sissy, Brandon’s troubled sister, while James Badge Dale is in line for the role of Brandon’s boss.

The movie – which has been written by McQueen and Abi Morgan – will start shooting in New York for six weeks in January.
