Finlay Currie (1878-1968) b. Edinburgh, Scotland.

Finlay Currie

Scottish actor, with powerful distinctive features, and a mass of latterly white hair. A former organist and music-hall singer, he broke into films with the coming of sound, often playing Americans. He continued playing rugged action roles (typically as the convict Magwitch in 1946′s Great Expectations) into his sixties and seventies.
