Blonde-haired leading lady. Shirley Eaton made her debut film appearance
in 1954 alongside Dirk Bogarde in Doctor
In The House (1954). From then onwards she appeared in many memorable
British comedies of the 50s and 60s including Sailor Beware! (1956),
Doctor At Large
(1957), The Naked
Truth (1957), Dentist
On The Job (1961) and What
A Carve Up! (1962). Eaton excelled in roles requiring equal measures
of comic ease and feminine beauty, especially the popular Carry On comedies
such as Carry On
Sergeant (1958), Carry
On Nurse (1959) and Carry
On Constable (1960). Later in her career, she become best known
for her brief assignment as Jill Masterson, the unfortunate gold-painted
girl in the James Bond classic Goldfinger
(1964). Shirley retired from acting to be a full time mother in the
early 1970s.
