Albert de Courville (1887-1960) b. Croydon, England.Albert de Courville began as a director of theatrical revues before moving into films during the 1930s. The most recognised of his early undemanding films were two starring Jessie Mathews; There Goes the Bride (1932) and The Midshipmaid (1932). He later directed Seven Sinners (1936), an adaptation of Arnold Ridley’s frequently filmed story ‘The Wrecker’. |
