Plot Synopsis

Aunt Sally

Boisterous musical-comedy with Cicely Courtneidge well to the fore as Sally, an aspiring cabaret artist, who by posing as a French ‘star’ Zaza, wangles her way into a job at Chicago-born impresario Mike Kelly’s nightclub. On the opening night, Sally is kidnapped by American gangsters who are associates of Kelly (Sam Hardy), intent on blackmailing him and taking over his club.
