Blood from the Mummy’s Tomb – 1971 | 94 mins | Horror | Colour
Plot Synopsis

Blood from the Mummy’s Tomb was based on Jewel of the Seven Stars, a lesser-known novel by Bram Stoker, and like its predecessors in the Mummy field is about an expedition to pillage the tombs of ancient Egypt. Studio head Michael Carreras stepped in to complete the film when director Seth Holt died during production.
The evil begins when archaeologist Professor Julian Fuchs (Andrew Keir) and his expedition team, discover in Egypt, after years of quest, the tomb of Queen Tera (Valerie Leon). The Queen is a beautiful creature, naked save for the tapestry of wonderful jewels that decorate her body. Legend suggests that Egyptian priests murdered Tera, Queen of Darkness, and that she has mysterious powers from beyond the grave. The opening of the sarcophagus has a strange effect on Fuchs and his team. Her mummified is perfectly preserved, her still bleeding severed hand parades a dazzling ruby ring. The objects are brought back to England, where the ruby ring from one of her fingers is given to Fuch’s voluptuous daughter Margaret (Valerie Leon again). This transfer enables the Egyptian queen to extract revenge on the desecrators of her tomb through the body of Margaret.
