Plot Synopsis

Climbing High

Carol Reed‘s lightweight romantic comedy. Michael Redgrave stars as Nicky Brooke, a wealthy socialite who runs over a poor model. He falls for he and attempts to win over the object of his affections, down on her luck model Diana Castle (Jessie Matthews) by pretending to be a poor male model. He wins her heart, but when she discovers his true identity she refuses to see him. While on the rebound Nicky almost ends up getting engaged to an aristocratic Lady Constance (Margaret Vyner), but it is Castle who he finally ends up with.
