Danger by My Side
Danger by My Side – 1963 | 62 mins | Crime | B&W
Plot Synopsis

Routine British b-movie thriller starring Maureen Connell as the avenging sister of a murdered policeman. Produced by low-budget specialists Butchers, this barely-interesting crime drama was the penultimate feature by director Charles Saunders.
Following his release from prison, petty crook Bernie Hewson takes a legitimate job in the warehouse of smuggler Venning (Alan Tilvern) – and observes undercover CID officer Terry Marsden working there. Later, Terry is knocking off work when he is killed by a hit-and-run driver. In his dying words to his sister, Lynne (Maureen Connell), he mentions a seedy Soho strip club owned by Venning, Nickys. Lynne turns avenging angel to capture her brother’s killers by adopting a pseudonym and taking a job in the strip club. Whilst Venning is in Amsterdam smuggling diamonds, his henchmen discover Lynne’s real identity.
