Plot Synopsis

Instantly forgettable comedy based on the popular ITV sitcom that ran from the late-60s to early-70s. Guest star Richard O’Sullivan would later appear in writers Brian Cooke and Johnnie Mortimer’s Man about the House and Robin’s Nest, and director William G. Stewart, host of the long-running quiz show Fifteen to One, also produced the 70s spin-off The Many Wives of Patrick.
A successful and divorced novelist (Patrick Cargill) struggles with his two troublesome teenage daughters who keep him awake with their riotous parties. He decides that the only solution is to remarry – but accidentally proposes to the charlady. Meanwhile, one daughter moves out into a rundown bedsit, another prepares to elope to Gretna Green with her boyfriend and to add to the confusion Patrick’s ex-wife moves in.
