Ferry Cross the Mersey
Ferry Cross the Mersey – 1964 | 88 mins | Musical, Comedy | B&W
Plot Synopsis

Ham-fisted and dated pop musical vehicle quicklyproduced to cash in on the success of Gerry and the Pacemakers and the Merseybeatsound. The trite plot was written by the creator of Coronation Street, TonyWarren. Other pop personalities involved are Cilla Black, Jimmy Savile and theFourmost. This pale imitation of A Hard Day’s Night may lack the wit and styleof the Beatles cinema venture but for nostalgia freaks it offers invaluableviews of Merseyside sights and clubs of the Sixties.
