Plot Synopsis

Captain Archibald Gore (Tom Walls) is an ageing aristocrat with several weaknesses including wine, women and horses. Such habits have proved expensive and he decides to visit one of his rich relatives to obtain financial assistance. He is turned away empty-handed and decides on an alternative plan – to arrive unannounced so that his relative will pay him to go away. This succeeds, and here he meets another man, Darby (Ralph Lynn) a penniless car salesman who is also looking for a way to secure finances as soon as possible. Together they end up in Nice, hatching a plan against a bogus Count’s casino, but will it succeed?
