Plot Synopsis

Forgettable b-movie thriller about a young ex-convict suspected of being a serial killer. David Sumner overplays his irate convict persona in the lead role and co-star Susan Travers acting fails to convince. There are thankfully a number recognised character actors in support including James Hayter, John Arnatt, Jack Watson, Renee Houston, George Woodbridge and Michael Ripper.

Young ex-con George Mallon (David Sumner) is released from prison and offered lodgings at the halfway house for discharged offenders run by Tom Daniels (James Hayter). Mallon is a surly character with a chip on his shoulder, but manages to find employment as a driver with Eastgate Furnishing despite his criminal record. Meanwhile, a serial killer is on the loose, preying on blonde women as they walk across a piece of rough ground known as ‘the flats’.

Mallon becomes the chief suspect, and does little to convince the police otherwise. Supt. Chadwick (John Arnatt), sends probation officer June Lock (Susan Travers) undercover to trap him.
