Plot Synopsis

Cicely Courtneidge plays two roles in this musical; mother and daughter Jenny and Maisie Marvello. The matriarch of the music-hall troupe is intent on carrying on the theatrical family tradition into the 1930s despite financial uncertainty. Regrettably, her on-off romance to stage-manager Sebastian (Edward Everett Horton) appears doomed.
