Someone at the Door – 1950 | 65 mins | Mystery | B&W

Plot Synopsis

Someone at the Door

Someone at the Door, was a remake of a 1935 thriller, itself based on a successful stage play. A newsman and his sister inherit an apparently haunted house and invent a story of a killing at the house – but it comes true. Better than most of Exclusive’s output during this period, it remains of interest chiefly for its title sequence, in which the cast pass through a mansion door, which is subsequently removed by two stage hands who reveal it to be a piece of scenery in a field, behind which the crew are lurking.
