Terror – 1978 | 87 mins | Horror | Colour

Plot Synopsis

Terror

Low-budget ‘film within a film’ blood-soaked British horror tale, which should please gore-hungry genre aficionados. However, anyone looking for a coherent plot is likely to be sorely disappointed by this energetic but ultimately predictable and clichéd slasher that draws inspiration from Dario Argento’s Suspiria. John Nolan, Carolyn Courage, Sarah Keller and Tricia Walsh are among the cast.

The descendants of those responsible for the death of a cunning witch Mad Molly at the stake find themselves falling victim to her final, deadly curse in spectacularly painful fashion. Set in London, the cast and crew of a film comedy production inadvertently conjure up the witch’s spirit and, after a private screening of the producer’s (John Nolan) fact-based opus, actresses and technicians begin to die in grisly medieval ways.
