Plot Synopsis

Vintage British thriller directed by Thorald Dickinson, much of the film was shot at Highbury including the real players and manager George Allison.
Arsenal are playing a charity match at Highbury against the Trojans, a team of amateurs, whose star centre-forward (Anthony Bushell) drops down dead during the game. The amateur footballer had been poisoned during the charity match and Inspector Slade (Leslie Banks) of the Scotland Yard is in called to investigate the murder – and unearths no shortage of suspects amongst the dead man’s teammates. The killer is finally revealed when he falls into Inspector Slade’s trap, and Sergeant Clinton (Ian McLean) is left to arrest the killer during a match.
