The Case of the Mukkinese Battle Horn – 1956 | 27 mins | Comedy | B&W

Plot Synopsis

The Case of the Mukkinese Battle Horn

A two-reeler Goon-inspired pastiche of the Merton Park Scotland Yard crime mysteries starring Spike Milligan, Peter Sellers and standing in for Harry Secombe – Dick Emery.

Two Scotland Yard detectives investigate the disappearance of the 9th-century Mukkinese Battle-Horn from the Metropolitan Museum. Bumbling Superintendent Quilt and his loyal assistant Detective Sergeant Brown rush to the crime scene in a squad car. Their bewildering investigations take in the museum night-watchman; a silent film star springing from the office cupboard; a befuddled pawn shop owner and culminates in a sword fight with the Three Musketeers at Maxie’s Place nightclub.
