Plot Synopsis

Entertainingschlock adapted from HF Heard’s novel A Taste for Honey in a heavy handedfashion by Robert Bloch. Director Freddie Francis paces the routine whodunit excruciatinglyslowly, whilst the effects are laughable and the script cliché-ridden. GuyDoleman and Frank Finlay give it their best shot by wildly overacting.
Popsinger Vicki Robbins (Suzanna Leigh) has a mental break-down from exhaustion andis sent to spend three weeks convalescing on the remote Seagull Island with Mr.Hargrove (Guy Doleman) – a personal friend of her doctor. Hargrove is adifficult man with a failing marriage who owns an island farm and keeps bees asa hobby. Across the island is a rival beekeeper, the charming Manfred (FrankFinlay), who soon strikes up a friendship with Vicki. The island bees soonstart going on the rampage and attacking animals and people – but whose bees?
