Plot Synopsis

Decent if unremarkable second-feature crime drama featuring Irish actor Dermot Walsh as a failed university student who embarks on a life of crime. This thriller was written and directed by John Gilling, known for his competent low-budget thrillers and several films he later scripted for Hammer.Walsh’s father is played by experienced character actor Charles Victor, who performs his role with quiet, self-effacing distinction.
Junk dealer Roselli (Charles Victor) is heart broken when son Julius (Dermot Welsh) is tossed out of Oxford due to a drunken brawl. Roselli dreams that his son might join him in the antiques trade but Julius steals £50 and becomes involved with a gang of Camden jewel thieves that unknown to the boy use his father as a fence. When they attempt to rob a warehouse, Julius is injured in the getaway bur continues participating in the dangerous venture.When the gang plan a raid on a jeweller’s safe in Hatton Gardens and to cut out Roselli, the old man tips off the police – unaware that his son is a member of the gang.
