Plot Synopsis

The Internecine Project is a laboured and implausible espionage thriller directed by Ken Hughes and based on the novel by Mort W. Elkind. Although it has a excellent thriller plot line, The Internecine Project, like Coburn’s scheme, is less than perfect in execution.
Robert Elliot (James Coburn), a former secret agent now professor of economics now living in London is to be promoted as a personal advisor to the President of the USA. However, there are four individuals that know of his corrupt past in industrial espionage and this could be potentially damaging to Elliot at a future date. His solution to the problem is to have the four; masseur Bert Parsons (Harry Andrews), prostitute Christina Larsson (Christiane Krüger), scientist David Baker (Michael Jayston) and politician Alex Hellman (Ian Hendry) kill one another.
