The Lamp in Assassin Mews
The Lamp in Assassin Mews – 1962 | 65 mins | Comedy | B&W
Plot Synopsis

A macabre comedy of murder from the Danziger Bros following the course of the borough council’s attempts to improve their smalltown.
In the small town of Mornley, local councillor Jack Norton(Francis Matthews) is attempting to modernise the borough and remove all the ancient minor landmarks. Opposing him is Mary Clarke (Lisa Daniely) of the Don’t Modernise Mornley campaign.
Meanwhile, Jack moves into Assassin Mews, which just happens to also be home to elderly brother and sister, Albert and Victoria Potts, who despite their kindly demeanour are a pair of serial killers with a penchant for bumping off door-to-door salesman. When Jack decides to remove the ancient gas street lamp in the Mews, the Potts decide that Norton must be their next victim.
