Plot Synopsis

The Millionairess

Anthony Asquith‘s film adaptation George Bernard Shaw’s stage play. The world’s most wealthy woman Epifania Parerga (Sophia Loren) is an imperious heiress who thinks money can buy anything, Epifania’s one wish is to be married; but her first marriage to Alistair (Gary Raymond), ended badly and she wants another opportunity for happiness. When she meets altruistic Indian doctor (Peter Sellers) who seems to care nothing for affluence or status, she decides that he is the man for her – but he won’t sell his principles, or his love so it is up her to make the doctor see things her way.
