The Mummy’s Shroud
The Mummy’s Shroud – 1967 | 90 mins | Horror | Colour
Plot Synopsis

The Mummy’s Shroud is notable as the last Hammer film to be made at Bray Studios. The film is a notably low-budget affair with a competent cast merely going through the motions.
Set in the 1920’s, an archaeological expedition team consisting of Sir Basil Walden (Andre Morrell), Paul Preston (David Buck), a photographer (Tim Barrett), and psychic linguist Claire (Maggie Kimberley) discover the tomb of Kah-to-Bey. They are later joined when a rescue party led by Preston’s father Stanley (John Phillips), and his assistant Longbarrow (Michael Ripper) arrive from the desert in search of the missing team. Against local advice, Stanley Preston, a greedy egotist, insists on exhuming the remains of Kah-to-Bey from its resting place and taking it to a Mazara museum. Stirred into life by Hasmid Ali (Roger Delgado), Prem, the mummy of the Prince’s protector sets about killing the desecrators of his master’s tomb until archaeologist Claire finds the sacred words that can crumble him to dust.
