Plot Synopsis

The Return of the Rat

The final instalment of Ivor Novello’s three films as The Rat. In this story he has deserted the underworld to marry the woman he loves, Zelie (Isabel Jeans), a lady of fashion. It does not work out and he returns to his old haunts, falling in love with a young barmaid (Mabel Poulton), but his failed marriage comes back to haunt him when he is challenged to a duel by his former wife’s lover.
