The Sport of Kings – 1931 | 90 mins | Comedy | B&W
Plot Synopsis

Sporting comedy about two gambling toffs visiting the home of puritanical anti-betting crank Amos Purdie (Leslie Henson). The two wager they can get their self-righteous host to make a bet within a week. They manoeuvre this so successfully that Purdie not only starts betting on a grand scale, but sets up a bookmaking operation to recoup his loses and welshes when the ruse fails. Fortunately, his wife had bet on the winner and saves the day.
