Plot Synopsis

The Traitors

Decent second feature espionage drama about British and American agents uniting to uncover a communist spy ring and shrewd traitors.

A civilian airliner crashes in Europe and rescuers discover a top secret Nato microfilm on one of the casualties. British and American intelligence decide to cooperate and attempt to break up a communist spy ring operating in England. British agent John Lane (Patrick Allen) and his American counterpart Major Ellis (James Maxwell) begin trailing a hard-drinking scientist who has been acting suspiciously. When he is murdered by his contact, the secret services have the option of arresting his killer or trying to capture the rest of the spy cell.
