Plot Synopsis

Cold-war spy drama about a senior civil servant, Robert Pitt (Andre Morell), who, when convicted for murderer and sentenced to hang for his crime – bargains with the law; his freedom in exchange for top-secret information about nuclear spies. But the police, led by Inspector Brown (Terence Morgan), track down the enemy agent, then trick a traitorous scientist into giving himself away. Brown then feels obliged to visit the superfluous Pitt one final time before he hangs.
