Plot Synopsis

Things Are Looking Up

In this British musical comedy, a horse-riding circus performer (Cicely Courtneidge) becomes a teacher at a private girl’s school after her twin sister has eloped with a wrestler. Her methods are unorthodox, to say the least, but aided by the music master (William Gargan) she is promoted to headmistress by the time her sister returns. Vivien Leigh makes her film debut as a schoolgirl.
