Plot Synopsis

Tower of Terror

Badly acted and muddled melodrama mixing wartime intrigue and lurid Grand Guignol horror. Marie (Movita), a fugitive from a concentration camp, jumps from a dock into the sea to escape the pursuing Gestapo, and is rescued by demented German lighthouse keeper Kristan (Wilfrid Lawson) as he sails back to the Westrode Island lighthouse three miles off the German coast. British secret agent Hale (Michael Rennie), gets to the lighthouse by mugging the assistant keeper and taking his papers. When the now completely unhinged Kristan attempts to bury Marie, who he thinks resembles the image of the dead wife he had murdered years earlier, in his wife’s grave at the base of the tower, Hale comes to her rescue.
