Plot Synopsis

Trouble in Store

Norman Wisdom‘s debut has him working in the stockroom of a West End department store, dreaming of becoming a window dresser and of winning the love of shop assistant Sally (Lana Morris). Unfortunately, his naivety – endearing to some, infuriating to his boss Freeman (Jerry Desmonde) – lets him down. Needless to say, his efforts at self-improvement end in fall-about disaster. However, when he eventually gets the job he has a chance to redeem himself when he thwarts some in-store thieves.
