Plot Synopsis

Twinky

Charles Bronson stars in Richard Donner’s abysmal Lolita-like comedy-drama hangover from the Swinging London period.

Scott Wardman (Charles Bronson), is a 38-year old American novelist living abroad in England who pays the rent by writing graphic erotica. When he meets and woos 16-year-old schoolgirl Twinky (Susan George), intense chemistry catapults them into a serious relationship. Both sets of parents on either sides of the Atlantic are already appalled, but when the police inform Scott his visa has twenty-four hours before it expires, the pair elope to Scotland and get married.

The couple flee to New York City, but they get the same prejudices from his parents. When Twinky becomes involved in a school demonstration, and when Scott attempts to intervene, he is arrested and put behind bars for 28 days. Meanwhile, Twinky garners a plush flat and becomes a society nymphet. Eventually the age difference threatens to rip the relationship apart.
