Plot Synopsis

Underground

Bert, an electrician at Lot’s Road power house, and Bill, an Underground porter, both fall in love with Nell, a shop girl. Bill wins her love and Bert plans revenge. He gets Kate, his mistress, to pretend that Bill has assaulted her, but Nell does not believe this, goes to see Kate and persuades her to confess the truth. As a result, Bert abandons her. Kate seeks out Bill, confesses her lie and in her anger and unhappiness demands that he take her to the power house, where she hopes to persuade Bert to come back to her. Bill takes her there, and leaves her alone with Bert. After a quarrel, Bert kills Kate and escapes into the Underground tunnel. A chase follows, Bert is eventually trapped by Bill in an Underground lift and Bill and Nell are happily united.
