Where the Spies Are
Where the Spies Are – 1965 | 110mins | Comedy | Colour
Plot Synopsis

Highly derivative comic spy yarn which just about pays off, largely through it’s religious use of all the genres essentials – gadgets, crisp suits, fast cars, treacherous commies, truth serum and a plot like an airport paperback. Director Val Guest would two years later direct another Bond imitation, Casino Royale.
Security chiefs persuade country GP Dr. Love (David Niven) to go on a covert mission to the Middle East to investigate the murder of his colleague Parkington (Nigel Davenport). Love uncovers a Russian plot to remove a pro-British prince. On arriving in Beirut, he meets a sexy double agent (Francoise Derleac) who helps him thwart the enemy’s dastardly plans.
