This article is from the Daily Mirror, 18th Feb. 1977. The text is a bit bleary towards the end but Elizabeth says that she had just ended a three year relationship with her actor-boyfriend. Whether that was James Aubrey I don't know. She says that before that she was married for two years after a ten day courtship - the other article said that the marriage only lasted ten days. Maybe it did but perhaps you couldn't divorce until two years had passed back then.

She says that she doesn't think she'll get married again - but it appears she did! That's for another post, though!

It seems likely Lizzie may have started her relationship with James Aubrey after her three year relationship broke up, after meeting him on the set of Another Bouquet. It would be unfortunate indeed if they were seeing each other and then split while making the series. Anyway, thanks once again for updating us Euryale. I look forward to hearing more. Elizabeth won an award for the stage production of For Services Rendered as Most Promising New Actress, which must have been around 1979-80. The last theatre appearance I can find for her is in 1983 in Crime and Punishment (apt considering her later career) with Boris Isarov, Michael Pennington, and Sheila Reid. This article from the Daily Express, 4/10/1980, suggests that she saw her future in acting but three years later she must have decided to pursue the Law as a better profession.

The only other thing I've been able to find out about Elizabeth is that she did indeed get married again in 2005. This was to one Hamish R. Sandison, and I think beyond doubt it is this gentleman:



Hamish is a lawyer and stood as a parliamentary candidate in Wales in the last election. The slightly puzzling thing is that there is quite a bit on the net about
about his political life and so forth, but no mention that I could see of his having a wife. I'm guessing that they prefer to keep their professional lives separate
and their private relationship out of the limelight. Good for them.
