This is an article by Noel Whitcomb in the Daily Mirror, March 1957:

The Niven film isn't named here, but the article Dave Wright posted confirms that it was The Silken Affair.

Another poster said that Pauline had appeared in an episode of Columbo called Dagger of the Mind. This I think is her, in a scene where she is talking very animatedly to a man in a pub - the shot isn't terribly good, I'm afraid:

Pauline is smoking a cigarette here - which is quite appropriate as I found out that in real life her dad's father worked as a tobacconist!

This is a rather nice picture of the girls from the Daily Mirror - Pauline's on the right:

It accompanies a rather odd little story that ran in the paper for a few days in June 1948. Apparently the girls' grandmother (the one married to the tobacconist) had written a will leaving the twins £4000 so that they could go to stage school. Just before she died she made another will leaving the money to their uncle instead. The girls' father contested the second will at the Court of Probate, but lost the case. Despite this setback, the girls were obviously still able to make their way into show business.

This is Pauline in The Boys (1962) - it's in a pub where Dudley Sutton and his friends meet up with Carol White:

I think that's the same hat Pauline wore in the Gideon's Way episode Subway to Revenge made 3 years later.

I'm not sure where Pauline appears in Frenzy but the opening scene has a dignitary making a speech about cleaning up the Thames or some such. The crowd surrounding him has some people making notes - meant to be reporters I suppose, including this girl whom I thought might be Pauline:

The other one's Ronald Lacey with his hair up in a quiff, surely?

I think you've correctly spotted Pauline in this photo too Euryale. It certainly looks like her. Your research on this thread has been nothing short of brilliant!

Agreed wholeheartedly on both counts: it's Pauline's chin and Euryale's research has been impeccable as usual.

This is Pauline in The Punch and Judy Man - you get a good view here, unlike some of her other films!:

Pauline in On the Beat - just behind Ronnie Stevens, her hair done up in a chignon with a white band. She seems to have adopted this hairstyle in the 1960s, which makes her easier to spot. Pauline is in the background quite a bit in this film in the beauty salon, but no close-ups that I could see:

I'd say you're right, Philly - must admit I hadn't noticed! From the newspaper articles we've seen from the 1950s, it seems that the girls pretty much worked as a double act during that era - we already know that they appeared in several films together back then.

It's Pauline that Harry and his friends remember from the 1960s onwards so I'm guessing that Pamela had perhaps retired from the business for some reason.

You can see both girls here - Pauline behind Sid James and Pamela with her head above the drum, or maybe the other way round as they were identical twins!:

Two final pictures of the twins from the archives - not the best quality though.

From the Daily Mirror, 24 May 1952:

From the Australian paper, the Barrier Miner, 2 Dec. 1953:
