Default John Barron dies ages 84

Best known for his role as C. J. in The Reginald Perrin tv shows, John Barron also had minor roles in the Val Guest films The Day the Earth Caught Fire and Jigsaw as well as appearing in Sink the Bismark.

Thanks James - John Barron also starred (for those who can remember back that far!) as the Dean in the TV series All Gas and Gaiters, with William Mervyn as the Bishop, and Robertson Hare and Derek Nimmo.

I am sorry to hear of the death of John Barron, another great jobbing actor.
You mention Jigsaw,a very underrated British murder mystery starring Jack Warner and Ronald Lewis as the two detectives in Brighton searching for the murderer of a scarlet woman.
John Barron had a very small role in it,until it emerged he was the killer.
Today, the film would be a neat time filler in the afternoon on television.

Agree.

Seen it on the late lamented Carlton Cinema, it had a real authentic feel to it.

I seem to remember it was in real time,or a large chunk of it, or maybe my mind is playing tricks.

I might dig the video out.

John Barron also starred in Softly Softly Task Force I think taking over Walter Gotel's role as Chief Constable
