J. in The Reginald Perrin tv shows, John Barron also had minor roles in the Val Guest films The Day the Earth Caught Fire and Jigsaw as well as appearing in Sink the Bismark.

I am sorry to hear of the death of John Barron,another great jobbing actor.
You mention Jigsaw,a very underrated British murder mystery starring Jack Warner and Ronald Lewis as the two detectives in Brighton searching for the murderer of a scarlet woman.
John Barron had a very small role in it,until it emerged he was the killer.
Today,the film would be a neat time filler in the afternoon on television.

Agree.

Seen it on the late lamented Carlton Cinema, it had a real authentic feel to it.

I seem to remember it was in real time,or a large chunk of it, or maybe my mind is playing tricks.

I might dig the video out.
