Default Peter Blythe, actor....another one gone.

Just read that journeyman actor Peter Blythe died at the end of June.
His credits from tv, film and theatre from the sixties to date reads lika a whats-what of British entertainment.
I always liked him as Soapy Sam Ballard in 'Rumpole' with his perceived disdain for Rumpoles 'amateurness' in dealing with justice.
For those who are having touble putting a face to the name go to:

Another one gone

Any idea how old he was Jock ? At one time he seemed to have niched himself in those 'decadent upstart' roles as per his 'student' in FRANKENSTEIN CREATED WOMAN for Hammer. Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't he also an X Wing pilot in the 'real' Star Wars ?

Gosh, according to the IMDB he was 69! No mention of 'Star Wars' but he did play officer-types in a couple of episodes of 'UFO'.

Apologies twice over Jock !

I was obviously having a duh moment and didn't think to look at IMDB meself !

Secondly, I think on the Star Wars thing I was confusing Peter with Drewe Henley ! Now whatever happened to HIM...?

Incidentally, both chaps had great roles as villains in episodes of MAN IN A SUITCASE. thumbs_u
