If you look at that quickly, you could think it said, "To Bats" - on a bad day with the wind in the wrong direction without your reading specs on..............

Now THAT looks genuine - but very cheap if it is.

YDS x.

Do you think that these autographs are being sold by Arthur Daly?

Personally, I would go along with Steve and be very wary about buying any of these examples. I would want to see the great man's signature on an authenticated document before parting with any cash. And when is someone going to write a full length biography of the man. We've seen all those biographies of nonentities published over the years; this is a gap crying out to be filled.
Dance and Skylark by Naomi is very good

I know - but I have in mind a biography along the lines of those on Michael Redgrave, Dirk Bogarde, Johnny G & Larry. Skylark is more of a memoir and of course very personal.

I haven't read Naomi's book, and I must try and obtain a copy. I do agree it would be useful to have an in-depth biography on this great actor. However, it would appear such books only get published if they are exploring the inner demons of the subject, as in the case of Wee Sonny's list.

Start every day with a smile and get it over with.

Or on ABE Books from £32 to £212 (signed by Naomi).
I paid £19 for my copy via ABE books back in 2002

I was lucky - I got a remaindered copy for £4.99. I can recall seeing quite a few copies around at the time. If only.
