Tracey's first on-screen role was in the Upstairs, Downstairs episode, Wanted - a Good Home.

She also appeared in Sense and Sensibility and The Scarlet Pimpernel. Childs was married to her Howards' Way co-star, the late Tony Anholt, from 1990 to 1998 and toured with him,

Perhaps Howard's Way .. (a kind of weekly soap), was

    Tracey's finest hour.

She was having a hot on screen and off screen affair with

actor Tony Anholt at the time

( who looked old enough to be her father !

(it was quite scandalous back then )

Of course Tracey played a big part in "Howards Way"

a series about ships and the sea... so... quite logically produced

    in Birmingham !

It was on our screens 1985 to 1990

Tracey with her long, fair hair was the only reason I watched it..

she was gorgeous with a capital G,

In 1981 she was in... Sense and Sensibility... a big TV costume drama.

I was nt impressed, it was a bit samey... the costumes drab

and Traceys flowing locks were kept tied up and hidden

    away under bonnets !

But maybe someone enjoyed the series and will give it some merit.

She cut her hair short too some time ago,

she still looked great with short hair.

Just realised... Sense and Sensibility was made... before... Howards Way

always thought it was the other way round.

I'm a Member of a couple of other Forums: Music/Entertainment, and we've had a lot of trouble with uninvited porn-links with the image-uploaders used. So now the approved uploaders are:

    Imageshack.us

    Imageupper.com

    Radikal.ru

    Imagebam.com

These, at least up to now, are proving okay, and do not link to any porn when uploading an image.

Cully, It's merely a shortening of your User Name, nothing sinister. On some Forums, Users can be, let's say, inventive to say the least in their choice of User Name, sometimes running into any number of letters/numbers etc. And so using the main letters etc of someones name saves time. Most people work it out, though if I had a £ for the number of times I've had to explain, I could Produce some Art House epics!!

Its frustrating, Tracey was seriously gorgeous in that series

of Howards Way and the master tapes are rotting away in some

    BBC archive somewhere.

Why cant the whole series be put on line in a podcast

so we could all enjoy it again ?

after all we.... with our licence fee.... have already paid for it !

You've just missed Tracey in a very good stage adaptation of "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" in London. Directed by Andrew Hall, the other son in the tv show Butterflies.
