Rosalyn Landor (born 1958) is an English actress.

Rosalyn was born in London and educated at the Royal Ballet School.

She began her career at the age of nine when she appeared in the Hammer Horror film The Devil Rides Out.

She is best known for her role as Sarah Latimer in The Amazing Mr Blunden Film in 1972, based on The Book The Ghosts By Antonia Barber, as well as Her Roles on television series such as Rumpole of the Bailey (as Fiona Allways in 1983) and C.A.T.S. Eyes (as Pru Standfast in 1985),

She did a guest appearance in a TV adaption of Sherlock Holmes (The Speckled Band) opposite Jeremy Brett.

Her theatre roles included Hay Fever by Noel Coward in London's West End in 1984.

She has subsequently worked in the United States with guest appearances in series such as Matlock and Star Trek: The Next Generation (in the 1989 episode "Up the Long Ladder).

Rosalyn now lives in Los Angeles, California, where she continues to provide voices for Disney productions and also records audiobooks for Random House, and performs with The Hollywood Theater of the Ear.

She has two children, Arielle and Sophia.

I like that... she began her career age 9 with a part

in the film.... The Devil Rides Out... ! what a start !

But she is a lovely lady... and I just love her high class accent.....

( Ill have to look for some of her audio books ... and get my fix ....

My notes say that she was in a play with Toyah around 1981 !

Rosalyn Landor is a favourite of mine as well. Personally, my favourite work of hers is in "The Devil Rides Out", which I only watched the night before last. It's my favourite Hammer film. I watched her episodes of "Hammer House Of Horror" and Star Trek - The Next Generation" only recently as well. The HH episode is called "Guardian Of The Abyss" and it's "The Devil Rides Out" re-told, more or less. This time of course Rosalyn was an adult. It happens to be my favourite episode of the series.

Rosalyn's "Sherlock Holmes" episode "The Specled Band" happened to be my favourite as well. Much as I like Rosalyn these are sheer coincidences that she keeps appearing in the best episodes. I remember Rosalyn as a posh bitch in a play for ITV playhouse called "Little Girls Do", which also starred Toyah Willcox. The play was recorded in 1979, but for some reason wasn't shown on TV until 1981.

I think physically Rosalyn is one of Britains most beautiful actresses. As a teenager I was smitten after seeing her in the Amazing Mr Blunden. Later she was great fun in Rumpole of the Bailey, cracking up with laughter when Uncle Tom reminisced about getting his balls (golf) in the waste paper basket!

'Doe-Eyed' is how I recall R.L. being described. She put it to good effect in a car advert, when her 'husband' tells her that the 'company car' will have to be given up. Anyone...?

I remember that Renault advert clearly, I thought that it must have been more like 1984/85, but I could be wrong. The car was a Renault 25, a rather dull executive car, but Rosalyn could have sold me anything with those eyes of hers!

Guardian of the Abyss was indeed a very effective Hammer House episode, and a great cast included Ray Lonnen, John Carson and a rather under-used Paul Darrow.

Hello lovegod. "Little Girls Do" did also star Toyah Willcox. That was a doubly good reason to watch it for me.

The "Hammer House Of Horror" episode was about a mirror. Brilliant episode. Paul Darrow - a fine actor - was indeed very under-used in that episode as Dragonman suggests.

Not sure if Rosalyn ever lived in Canada.

I too remember that advert but only because the lovely RL was in it. IIRC it was Renault's top of the range 25 model she was promoting.
