i would love to see that show she did again from the 70s called Jumbleland
A lovely lady. I met her a few days ago at the stage door after seeing her in 'Stepping Out', in which she gave a great performance. It was the same a few years ago when I saw her in 'Strangers on a Train'. The nicest star you could meet!![]()

I've always been a huge Anita fan too. London Life was a great single and The Playground is simply brilliant. Tuppenny Bus Ride is one of those songs that instantly take me back to my childhood in the 70's.
She even got a mention in Ashes to Ashes last week.

I still have the personally signed Christmas card that she sent me, a really lovely lady who should have been a big, big star.
Does anyone remember her in The David Nixon Show when she appeared in the series as David's lovely assistant.
She seems to have had hard times lately, let's hope that's all behind her. As you say, A lovely lady.

underestimated singer as well Just loving you and London lifeforgotten classics.
I was delighted to see Anita looking happy again on This Morning recently, following her well-documented troubles. Along with Lorraine Chase and Anne Charleston, she was promoting a stage play they've been appearing in called Five Blue Haired Ladies Sitting on a Green Park Bench (not one I'll be adding to the 'Pleasing Titles' thread). The others are Shirley Anne Field and Nicola Blackman.
I've just posted this listing, for a forgotten "musical biography", at the new Christopher Gable thread:
They were all regulars on our screens onceCheryl Kennedy was married to Tom Courtenay at the time
There is a thread here for Anita Harris's tragic TV series http://www.britmovie.co.uk/forums/br...umbleland.html

Been reliving her belly-dancing glory in Carry On Follow That Camel with my Carry On mad son. Remember how in love I was with AH when she was on David Nixon's shows way back when. It was a toss up who I loved more: AH, Diana Rigg or Susan Stranks off Magpie... As a 6 year old, anyone of them could have taken me out to the park for an ice cream - or even all three of them at the same time. I was game.
Anita treads the panto boards again this year in Sleeping Beauty at the Theatre Royal, Windsor.
Here is the card that Anita and her husband Mike, sent to me and my colleagues at Ernst and Young in 1990.
I can't believe that it was 21 years ago!
That is a lovely card, Ray. In return, a lovely picture ...
