Norman Mitchell, Peter Cellier and Patrick Newell no longer with us I am afraid. Of these Norman was the most recently departed 2-3 yrs back.

Doug Fisher is still around IIRC. Sally Thomsett speaks highly of him on the Aus DVD commetaries, saying how intelligent he is ; Oxbridge and all that...

Peter Cellier's still around. He was in The Final Quest last year. In his late 70's now I think. Still acting though...

Yes - I saw Peter Cellier about a year ago when he appeared at London's Theatre Royal Haymarket in "A Woman Of No Importance" with Samantha Bond, Prunella Scales & Rachel Stirling (if anyone else saw that production Rupert Graves was off that night!).

Actually,I'd forgotten how attractive Paula Wilcox was let alone Sally Thomsett! Yootha Joyce was a great loss,a fine comedy actress who lost her battle with alcohism in August 1980. Alas Richard O'Sullivan has fallen on hard times as well.

News on Richard O'Sullivan seems to be quite rare, even at the time when he fell ill initially.

Anybody know how he's going on ?

Marky: Can you elaborate? Please tell me he hasn't followed Edward Judd's route.

I am absolutely positive I saw him in a small part in a US film made well after 'Man In The House' playing the part of a shop salesman. However I can't find anything on IMDB which matches this. I'm sure at the time I checked the cast list at the end of the film and it was definitely him.

As far as know, Richard O'Sullivan suffered a stroke about a year ago. I don't know if he's still with us, though.

Cheers Marky -

Can you comment on his general health ? I was hoping that he might have made a decent recovery. It was such a shame that his illness went so 9relatively) unreported after such fame in the 70s.

I just hope he's fairly OK.

I was very surprised to see Paula Wilcox reappear recently in the TV comedy ??? series 'The Smoking Room'.
She seemed to have disappeared for years. Wonder what made her reappear in such a poor show?
One of my favourite character's from the MAN ABOUT THE HOUSE television series was fellow lodger Larry played by Doug Fisher.
He was very talented & it was a shame that he never really made it big in the industry.

Dave.
