I thought i would start a new Thread for Robin Weaver, an Actress who i have always liked and enjoyed watching in many TV programmes, Robin Weaver's first TV role was Sarah Fitzpatrick in the one-off ITV Drama Somewhere To Run (1989), i thought Robin Weaver gave a very good performance in her first TV role in which she ran away from home to get away from her father Roger Fitzpatrick (played by Michael Jayston) who had been sexually abusing her for several years, another Robin Weaver TV role in 1989 was Bessie in the ghost story The Woman In Black, Robin Weaver also appeared in two of my all time favourite TV programmes - Boon and The Bill, there are also many other TV programmes in which Robin Weaver has appeared including The Chief, Love Hurts, Wild West, Midsomer Murders and Kingdom, any other fans of this fine Actress on Brit Movie.

I don't know this actress at all, billy. Sorry! But wait a minute ... Among the credits at her IMDb page is Love Hurts, the 1990s series starring my avatar Adam Faithand Zoe Wanamaker, Daughter of Sam. It seems Robin was Adam's daughter in the show. I used to enjoy this programme but it's long faded in my memory and I would be interested to see it again. Three seasons? I probably only saw the first one. Co-starring Tony Selby

This is one of several publicity pictures I've found for a series called Barking!*:Barking! is a British children's TV series that produced two series between 2004 & 2005. The show was originally broadcast on ITV1's children's slot CITV. It stars Katy McGowan as Jezza, a teenage girl with a talking dog named Georgie, voiced by Will Mellor. Other major characters in the show included Jezza's mother, Pippa (Robin Weaver), her stepbrothers Dan (Adam Scourfield) and Ollie (Tom Millner), and her stepfather, Greg (Charles Dale).
Dated 2004

The Big Question: Is Robin any relation to Elizabeth Weaver by any chance?

I have just seen Robin Weaver in an episode of 'Doctors' ("Because You're Mine", broadcast last week, Fri 20 May).
I was astounded how much she looks like Georgia Taylor (Georgia Taylor - IMDb) who plays Dr Ruth Winters in 'Casualty'. In fact, I thought it was Georgia on-screen, until I heard the actress speak. Face-shape is alike, & they have similar hairstyles too: brown, shoulder-length, very heavy fringe. Astonishing likeness. They could be sisters!
Also, found Robin Weaver's IMDB page at:
Robin Weaver - IMDb
which states that she has appeared in 'Casualty' herself (LKF: 4 times in 20!! years).
As one of these episodes was after Georgia joined the series, I wonder: did they cross paths on-screen, & how alike did they look?!?! Would be great to know. Maybe they should have played sisters then!!
An episode of the 1990's TV series Love Hurts featuring Robin Weaver as Jade Carver (Robin played Jade Carver in 15 episodes of Love Hurts).
Thanks for that posting! I had in fact - just because I loved the porgramme, and the chemistry between Adam Faith & Zoe Wanamaker back in the '90s - been hoping to get 'Love Hurts' from a DVD rental scheme. And had been having problems getting hold of it! So that was a timely posting by billy farmer!
P.S. For those who want to watch 'Love Hurts' at YouTube:
1. One YT user - ns2712ns - has posted the first ever ep (N.B. segmented into 5 parts) episode
e.g. part 1 is at:
&
2. Another YT user - IrishEyes1989 - has posted loads of the later episodes - handily in complete 1hour! videos - from ep2 onwards:
e.g. ep2 is at:
Have fun! :)
Robin Weaver is in Rev on Thursday (1st December) @ 9pm on BBC2.
! Here's an update re the availability of 'Love Hurts' ! :
The above 2 YouTubers have now - between the 2 of them - posted all of series 1, plus half of series 2. Great stuff: yo!
So I have watched all of those.
However, I have had to resort to buying series 2 (to see the remaining episodes) & series 3 . These were cheap DVDs, from eBay. The 2 YouTubers say they don't know - which is a mucho fair point!- exactly when they will manage to get the rest of the 2 series online at YT. I have also found that the series is - at last! - available to hire at LoveFilm; but I can't wait for that i.e. till all the other titles I want to see from LoveFilm have arrived first.
I don't want to have to wait another 20years!! to re-see the series!
BTW, eBay was quite cost effective (only c. £8 each) - just remember: DON'T buy from the 20quid eBay sellers!!:
