She does seem to have slowed up alot. Sadly this may be to do with lack of good roles for actresses of her age group. I was reading apiece about an actress of her age group who at one point wasn't getting much work at all despite a distinguished start and a BAFTA to her name. Hale said in an interview that hse had even tried to change agents and was told that they wouldn't consider actresses of her age. Mirren/Dench et al are having a hay day and the rest get the dog ends so it appears.

I haven't seen her in anything decent in years. I first remember her from Budgie and her appearances in Ken Russell movies. There was a time when she and Helen Mirren were the sexiest young actresses in Britain. As we've said on this forum before, strange how people's fortunes differ.

To the best of my knowledge, Judi Bowker gave up acting some time ago. She is a devout Christian and devotes herself now to working for good causes.

I always remember her for her role as Vicky Gordon in Black Beauty, compulsive watching for my younger sisters.
I had a kind of infatuation with her, and I think she was the first female I fancied on TV who was of a similar age.
After that Diana Rigg, Linda Thorson and Alexandra Bastedo never got a look- in.
