![]() Whatever happened to Linda Hayden , one of the sexiest actresses of the 70's? Another Hammer girl who starred alongside Christopher Lee in 'Taste The Blood Of Dracula' (1970). She seemed to get her gear off in many films including 'Confessions From A Holiday Camp'. Her face always reminded me of a young Diana Dors. Dave. |

I never found Diana Dors sexy in the slightest....always blowsy, even when still quite young, peroxided to within an inch of her life, and tarty with it...(although that was her typecasting, granted)....a caricature of a sexy woman, rather than a sexy woman in fact.
Or is it just me...

IIRC Linda Hayden married a wealthy chap and went off to raise a family. She did a few bits of telly in the 80s. IMdB lists her last appearance to date in an episode of THE BILL in 1997. However, I recently saw her on satellite in a short recent inteview for The Horror Channel.

The one thing about her I did cherish was the story of her opening a village fete, in her early pre-name change era, when a flustered vicar had to introduce her to the crowd....and now I can't tell you the punchline, there may be ladies present... ![]()

I agree with Penfold's comments on Diana Dors (although I think she's a fairly decent actress), and his sentence - "a caricature of a sexy woman"- could apply to many actresses today. Foremost in my mind, to fit that category:
Elizabeth Shue, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and (worst of the worst) Britney Murphy. I've only encountered one person who didn't like Ingrid Bergman. He was tri-syllabic on the subject: "OVERRATED". Whatever that meant. Here's a mini-homage......... (regards Woody Guthrie, Roberto Rossellini...) "Ingrid Bergman, Ingrid Bergman, Let´s go make a picture On the island of Stromboli, Ingrid Bergman Ingrid Bergman, you´re so perty, You´d make any mountain quiver You´d make my fire fly from the crater Ingrid Bergman This old mountain it´s been waiting All ist life for you to work it For your hand to touch the hardrock, Ingrid Bergman, Ingrid Bergman If you´ll walk across my camera, I will flash the world your story, I will pay you more than money, Ingrid Bergman Not by pennies dimes nor quarters, But with happy sons and daughters, And they´ll sing around Stromboli, Ingrid Bergman", ![]() ![]() ![]()
