Quite right too, bad, bad girl.....I never got Margaret Lockwood, she did nothing for me whatsoever....but having seen her in a few 1930's films, up to The Lady Vanishes, I can see the attraction more. Give me Patricia Roc from that stable, any time...

I remember her turning up on a This is Your Life - whose, I don't know - and she was still stunning, and must have been in her seventies even then....

Uma Thurman is very beautiful to look at, but I used to think she was too manic on screen. Last week, though, I saw her in The Golden Bowl and she won me over as an actress as well. She is a stunner. It's interesting that she was ridiculed for being too gawky and skinny when she was younger!

Kate Beckinsale was also in The Golden Bowl. She gave an excellent performance and is good to look at it, in a different way.

She also put on the best American accent I have ever heard in a film. It was flawless - nuance, emphasis, tone. It was so good that I had to check to make sure this was the same Kate Beckinsale I had seen in British films! If I had not known, I would have assumed she was American.
