I don't know about you lot... what about the delightfull Judy Cornwall, I think she oozes sexiness in Keeping up appearences. And in Santa Clause the movie... every boys girl next door.
She might be on my side of forty now but I think she is lovely.
You're right there Bob M. I like 'em with a bit of meat on 'em. Can't stand the stick insects like Victoria Beckham, Sophie Dahl, et al.

I think Judy has a lovely round cuddly face and it's even better when she smiles!

I can imagine all our younger members thinking to themselves 'what a bunch of saddos on this web site'! thumbs_u

Good morning boys.

Ah yes, Every Home Should Have One (1970). With not only the lovely Julie Ege (& many others) but also with Penelope Keith as the leather wearing, motorcycling, German au pair.

Only that I like her as an actress and it was a very unusual role for her. Not exactly Margot Leadbetter.

LOL - Apologies for my mischief, Steve blush

Wasn't she also in Penny Gold, as a stamp dealer who'd been ripped off by the villain IIRC ?

Always seemed difficult for casting directors to place her in movies, simply because she's so striking.

To answer your question Bob M,

Diane Cilento was once married to Sean Connery not James Mason.

Believe it or not Patricia Routledge (Mrs.Bucket)
was a bit of alright when she was younger.

She was a looker with a buxom figure.Great in a tight skirt.

I remember seeing pictures of her taken in the 60's when she appeared in early episodes of 'Coronation Street'as the lady who ran the local cafe.

I wouldn't have minded getting my hands on her teacakes!!

Steady Dave, the sun's not gone down here yet! But yes, I've seen her as a young lass! She's not married is she?

It's about time the ladies had their say on what choices they prefer!

Good morning boys.

What about that Scottish lassie (although born in Blackpool) of the sixties JANET MUNRO - always playing the sexy temptress.

I believe she died young after choking to death.
I hope she wasn't an early version of Linda Lovelace.

Seriously though it appears that it had something to do with chronic heart disease.
She had turned to alcohol after two bad marriages & a couple of miscarriages.

Amazing how a lot of these lovely young starlets had such bad endings.

Mmmm - Janet Munro certainly helped Edward Judd get steamed up in THE DAY THE EARTH CAUGHT FIRE. Very nice she was too - wasn't she married to Ian Hendry at some point ?

That was always my understanding but I received an email from somebody who runs a Janet Munro fansite and he puts that story down to poor journalism at the time. He informed me she died of natural causes and a recent book backs him up.

I've not altered her entry on the site because I don't know which version is correct. (and the pages are in mid overhaul.

What a fun forum this appears to be!

In the short time since I logged on, I haven't seen any mention of Shirley Anne Field!

I just finished her fascinating autobiography which was an emotional experience -- I had just learned that her brother had been murdered.

Guy Field (born Earnest Broomfield) and I lived together from 1975-76, in Aspen and Los Angeles so this came as a shock.
I'm in the process of trying to find out when (where, how, why!) this tragedy occurred.

I hope to have the honor of meeting his beautiful sister one day!

Love to you all,
Rosemary
