I had a crush on one of the Carry On girls for years...and it was neither of the above it was the most beautiful Angela Douglas (The Princess Jelhi - Carry On Up The Khyber). She starred in 4 of the Carry Ons and was married to Kenneth More until his sad passing in 1982. Or how about Amanda Barrie ...both gorgeous (my mum went to school with her and Ronald Fraser)

Annie Cartwright is a great example of a character making the real actress more attractive - everything else I've seen Liz White in she's played a rough type that no one would look twice at. Same as Beth Goddard in Big Bad World (a sadly pulled sitcom/romcom as far as I'm concerned) and a complete bitch and totally unfanciable (for a good looker) in Cracker.
