Searched in the forums for a thread about Victor Beaumont, but couldn't find one. So here's it is.

Think he's best remembered for playing baddies. First saw him in The Saint episode Locate and Destroy a few years ago.

Amazing that this guy started his career at a young age back in the 1930s under his birth name Peter Wolff and made several films in Germany at that time before emigrating to the UK.

Well done Hummies for starting a post on this very much underrated actor. That's one of the best episodes of The Saint you've screencapped him from. Great story. He was also in another excellent episode called The Rhine Maiden and starred in some wonderful films, such as Where Eagles Dare, A Shot In The Dark and I Was Monty's Double.

Always pleased to see Victor Beaumont pop up. Quite often he's uncredited, too. I always thought he's have made a good Rudolf Hess.

Here are some screencaps of Victor from the second episode of The Saint, that wellend already mentioned: "The Rhine Maiden". Watched it for the first time some days ago and it was really good! We were happy to see that Victor played an important role as cardiologist Dr Schreiber, who was involved in a crime.





And we also found a nice promo shot of him in colour for that episode on the DVD specials:

Excellent screencaps Hummies. I don't yet have that episode of The Saint on DVD. I only have the first 39 b&w episodes. I'll get the rest eventually. I remember The Rhine Maiden as being a very good episode.
